Best in class bike commuter support in Greater Boston
On-site tune-up events. Emergency roadside assistance. Year-round support for your bike commuting employees — all from one partner.
Four Services, One Partner
Everything your organization needs to support bike commuters — from emergency roadside repairs to seasonal programming.

Bicycle Roadside Assistance
Flat tire on the commute? Broken chain at the bike rack? Your employees text NEMO and a mechanic arrives on a cargo bike — fast. Every repair includes an itemized receipt for reimbursement under the MA Bicycle Commuter Benefit.

On-Site Tune-Up Events
NEMO sets up at your workplace on a regular schedule — monthly, quarterly, or seasonally. Employees bring their bikes, get a professional tune-up during the workday, and ride home on a safer bicycle. We typically set up outside, but can also work indoors — a conference room, lobby, or garage works just as well. No special space requirements.

Guided Rides
Group rides that help employees discover safe cycling routes in your area. Led by experienced NEMO guides, these rides build confidence and encourage new riders to make cycling part of their commute.

Cycling Webinars and Classes
Live workshops — virtual or in-person — on topics like how to buy a bike, bike commuter safety, winter riding, e-bike battery care, and fix-a-flat clinics. Ideal for Bike Month programming, new employee onboarding, or wellness events.

Why Employers Invest in Bike Repair Programs
When an employee gets a flat tire on the way to work, NEMO gets them back on the road — no trip to the bike shop, no missed meetings, no reason to give up on cycling.
NEMO tracks participation across your program — events, webinars, and roadside calls — and provides seasonal summaries with repair counts and employee activity. When you need it for a grant application, sustainability report, or internal review, the documentation is ready.
Every bike commuter eliminates 2,000–4,000 lbs of CO2 per year. NEMO provides utilization reports with repair counts, participation rates, and environmental impact data useful for sustainability reporting and internal program reviews.
Frequently Asked Questions
Why Should We Work with NEMO?
We serve as the dedicated bike services partner for many employers, institutions and TMAs — and for good reason. Our mechanics are professionals who understand how to operate in white-collar environments: they show up on time, follow campus protocols, and represent your organization well in front of employees. We've navigated security procedures, building access policies, and advance coordination at Harvard, Boston Children's Hospital, Longwood Collective, and others.
What Area Do You Serve?
NEMO serves employers, institutions, and TMAs across Greater Boston, including Boston, Cambridge, Somerville, Brookline, Allston-Brighton, the Longwood Medical Area, Kendall Square, the Seaport, and surrounding communities. If you're within the Route 128 belt, we can likely reach you.
How Much Does a Workplace Bike Program Cost?
Every program is custom-priced based on your needs — number of events, frequency, employee headcount, and service type. On-site events are priced per mechanic-hour. Roadside assistance programs are priced per repair call. Contact us for a no-obligation quote tailored to your workplace.
How Do Employees Request a Repair?
For roadside assistance programs, employees simply text NEMO's dispatch number. A mechanic responds quickly — we're available 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. For scheduled events and office hours, employees bring their bikes to the designated location during the event window — no appointment needed.
Do You Provide Utilization Reports?
Yes. NEMO tracks participation across all your services — events, webinars, and roadside calls — and can provide seasonal summaries when you need them. If you're preparing a grant application, a sustainability report, or an internal review, we can pull together repair counts and program activity data on request.
Do You Repair E-Bikes and Cargo Bikes?
Yes. NEMO services standard bicycles, e-bikes, and cargo bikes. Our mechanics carry parts and tools for all common drivetrains, braking systems, and electrical components. We dispatch on eCargo bikes ourselves, so we know these machines inside and out.
What If Our Organization Already Has a TMA Partnership?
Many of our clients are TMAs or work through TMAs. NEMO currently partners with 6 Transportation Management Associations across Greater Boston, and our services are eligible under MassDOT TDM grant programs. If your TMA doesn't yet offer bike repair, we can help make the case — our data is already cited in successful grant applications.
How Far in Advance Do We Need to Book Events?
For seasonal programming (spring through fall), we recommend booking 4-6 weeks ahead to secure your preferred dates. For a pilot event or one-time tune-up day, we can often accommodate requests with 2-3 weeks' notice. Roadside assistance programs can launch within days of signing an agreement.
